Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 8 slices hard bread
- 1 pound mozzarella not fresh mozzarella
- 1 garlic powered
- Olive oil for frying
- Kosher salt and black pepper
Instructions
- Beat the eggs and add the milk, salt and pepper Add the slices of dry bread and wet them to soften them, be careful not to make them too soft.
- Heat the oil in a pan with fresh or dried garlic, fry the slices of bread on both sides until golden.
- Once finished, add the sliced mozzarella in the center of two slices and place them in a pot for the oven just before eating.
- Reheat the slices for 5 minutes, or until your mozzarella is stringy, under the oven already hot at 370 F
- Eat hot
I’ve never thought to melt the cheese in the oven! Brilliant for when we have thicker slices of bread. I’ve never met a grilled cheese I didn’t like and this one sounds especially tasty with mozzarella!
